Command Card Exchanges

The heart of the battle system lies in Command Card Exchanges—strategic exchanges where players play command cards in response to each other’s moves. Each command initiates a specific ability for the OverKnight, whether it’s a powerful attack, a defensive maneuver, or an augmentation.

Chain Commands

Once a command is played, players enter an exchange where they have a window to respond with their own faster command, creating a chain of actions. The exchange ends when both players pass, and the chain executes in reverse order (last in, first out). This creates an intricate balance between aggression and defense, as players weigh when to add another command or conserve resources.

Quickened vs. Normal Commands

The speed of your command matters! Faster commands (Quickened) give you the chance to land devastating blows before your opponent can respond, while Normal-speed commands offer powerful effects that might take longer to trigger but can turn the tide in your favor.
